Ann Chapman

Author of Women in My Rose Garden

After years spent working as a nurse and politician in New Zealand's capital, Wellington, Ann Chapman turned her attention to roses and along with husband Lloyd established Trinity Farm in Otaki, an iconic rose nursery, garden, orchard and thoroughbred rose breeding farm.

The garden is inspired by the 12 years that Ann and Lloyd spent living in England and say their experiences there gives them a "wonderful garden full of charm and grandeur." Ann's love of roses has extended to running courses and talks on the history of the flower and she regularly contributes articles to publications such as the Heritage Rose Journal.

Ann was awarded the Member of the New Zealand Order of merit in 2007 for her services to local government and community. She is also a Justice of the Peace, a former marriage celebrant and a commissioner for town planning. Women in my Rose Garden is her first book.
